Food and Dining
Strawberry Square has a food court with a large selection of dining options. From fast food to local restaurants great for lunch, there are options for every appetite!
Second Street, fondly known as Harrisburg’s Restaurant Row and only a block away from Temple Harrisburg’s Campus, offers over twenty more restaurant choices for students.
Health and Fitness
Downtown Harrisburg is home to the Pinnacle Health System, which includes emergency care facilities and hospital services less than half a mile from the Temple Harrisburg campus.
Fitness U is a newly renovated gym facility located just steps away from Temple Harrisburg in Strawberry Square. Fitness U’s amenities include a complex weight training area, an extensive array of cardio equipment, personal training, and group exercise classes. Fitness U offers a discount rate for Temple University students. Information about free trials and memberships can be found on their website.
Trips to Main Campus
There are coordinated trips each semester to main campus to help students who are transferring become familiar with campus resources, learn about ways to get involved in campus organizations, meet with academic advisors and explore what life on main campus will be like. These trips are opportunities for students to look forward to the years ahead and will guide students as they begin their transition to Philadelphia.
Student Activities
In addition to the numerous city events that take place downtown, Temple University Harrisburg offers a variety of activities both on and off campus to help enhance the academic experience. These activities, ranging from networking with local leaders and community service projects to trips to local attractions and end of semester celebrations, are a great way for students to connect with each other and with the Temple and Harrisburg communities.
