Job Description:

The Grant Administrator at the Harrisburg Campus is the individual primarily responsible for the management of external funding arrangements. In this role, the incumbent prepares, reviews and maintains relevant financial and fiscal business documents, reports and records. This includes preparing fiscal reports for submission to funder, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, managing financial expenditures through purchasing/requisition, reconciling University cost centers, preparing contracts and invoicing, analysis of financial data to determine present and future financial performance. The incumbent is integral to grant proposals, preparing budgets and inputting applications for approval and submission. Incumbent advises program management staff on budget status. Supervision of fiscal and other staff as assigned. Liaison with other fiscal entities at the University. Frequent direct interaction with faculty, senior administrators and staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years directly related experience, preferably in accounting, finances or grant management. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Require high proficiency with financial modeling and analysis via Microsoft Excel
The volume and diversity of assignments demands the ability to prioritize work well and focus on completion of tasks.
Must have the ability to make executive decisions at times when collaboration with colleagues and supervisors is not possible.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial operations.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to perform basic functions with MS Office, especially MS Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail.
